Arc-Resistant Switchgear is the ultimate evolution in personnel safety for medium and low-voltage power distribution. In a standard switchgear unit, an internal arc fault—essentially a massive electrical explosion—can blow the doors off and release lethal heat and pressure toward the operator. Our Arc-Resistant series is specifically engineered to contain and redirect this explosive energy. Using reinforced hinges, "Blast-Proof" door latches, and internal pressure-relief flaps, the switchgear vents the arc gases upward through a dedicated plenum and out of the building. This design ensures that if a fault occurs, the personnel standing in front, at the sides, or even at the rear of the equipment remain unharmed. Our arc-resistant designs are mandatory for high-risk environments where operators frequently perform switching or where the available fault current is exceptionally high.

The architecture of our Arc-Resistant Switchgear involves a specialized enclosure structure that can withstand the instantaneous pressure of an arc flash. We incorporate "Arc-Ducting" systems that carry the ionized gases and flames safely to the exterior of the electrical room. Additionally, we integrate "Arc-Flash Mitigation" technology, such as light-sensing relays that can detect the flash of an arc and trip the upstream breaker in less than 50 milliseconds, drastically reducing the total energy of the event. This dual approach—passive containment and active mitigation—makes our switchgear some of the safest in the global market.
